Civil law protection under the harassment phenomenon on Facebook

Abstract

The presented article comprise concisely the phenomenon of protection against harassment on Facebook based on civil law regulations. Author analyse main aspects of law and freedom dedicated to a natural person which are regulated by the legislator under the generally applicable law in accordance with Article 87 The Constitution of the Republic of Poland and the changes introduce by the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016. The main aspect of this article is, therefore, how the natural person should assert their rights under civil law regulation, of whose personal rights have been violated and threatened throughout hate on a social networking site – Facebook.
